2014 Chevrolet Impala Sedan for New York Auto Show

Chevrolet has successfully introduced the new object of desire with the brand new 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The first debut is headed on 2012 International New York Auto Show. The automaker promises that this next generation of Impala will be different than the outgoing edition.

Exterior and Interior

Chevrolet Impala looks stronger. This full-size sedan offers improved ride and handling. It seems that the dimension does not change much. However, the engineers add 1.2 inches more on the wheelbase, 0.1 inches in the width, 0.9 inches on the length, and 0.2 inches to the height. The design of Impala is totally refreshed. The wide grille located on the center and front view now is framed by using low-profile projector headlamps. The contemporary style is still preserved by the presence of raked back design language. The wheels come in two options. You can pick either 19-inch or 20-inch alloys.

The refinement on the driving experience, technology and interior is the proof. The top-quality fabrics like leather and Ultrasuede are used to define the compartment. The advanced technology comes in central 4.2-inch color display, MyLink system, optional navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free phone, streaming audio, an 8-inch touch screen, and ambient lighting.

Engine

Chevy Impala is the tenth generation car from Chevy built under the commission of GM’s Epsilon II platforms. It is the same platform which has been constructed the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS. There are 3 engines available as option. The base one comes in 2.4-liter I-4 engine supported with eAssist hybrid system. It can generate 182 hp along with 172 pd-ft of torque. The next engine comes with 2.5-liter Ecotec I-4 It can produce the powertrain at 195 hp and 187 lb-ft. The robust performance is offered by 3.6-lter V6, which can boost the power at 303 hp and 264 lb-ft.

Price

2014 Chevrolet Impala will be sold in the dealership at the beginning of 2013. The manufacturing process is located in Ontario, Canada. The big competitors of Impala include Chrysler 300, Toyota Avalon and Hyundai Azura. The base price is not yet confirmed by Chevy.
